<p>First off all you will need to download the following zip and extract it <a href="http://tuts4tech.net/files/UsbRecoverySata.zip">UsbRecoverySata.zip</a></p>

<li>Run hpusbfw.exe, Select your device, pick FAT32 for the file system and the enter any volume label press start and it will begin to format your drive

<li>Open a CMD window start -> Search -> CMD, Drag bootsect.exe over onto the cmd window and it should print the path to bootsect.exe append it with the switch /nt52 and the letter of your flash drive e.g<br />

<li>Copy all the files from the folder "Copy the files inside me too your flash drive" to your flash drive</li>
<h3>Using Tiny Hexer</h3>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>First of all open it by double clicking on TinyHexer.exe</li>
<li>Go to file > disk > open drive and select your flash drive
</li>
<li>Once its opened go to edit > find/replace check the "find text" and "ignore case" boxes type NTLDR into the text box then press find. Press the replace button check "is text" box and enter CMLDR into the text box then press replace all

<li>Now go to file > save as and save it too your flash drive under the file name USBLDR</li>

<h3>Disabling Startup Items</h3>

<li>You can disable auto starting programs using msconfig to open it press start -> run -> msconfig</li>
<li>Select the startup tab</li>
<li>Uncheck any of the programs that you do not need if you are unsure look at the path in command or google the startup items name</li>

<h3>Disabling Services</h3>
<ol>
<li>Go to start -> run -> services.msc</li>
<li>Here you can disable any of the windows services if you are unsure about what ones you need please check <a href="http://www.theeldergeek.com/services_guide.htm">this list</a> for more information</li>
<li>If you don't feel like going through the services list manually i suggest you check out <a href="http://majorgeeks.com/Black_Vipers_Registry_Tweaks_d5381.html">black viper's registry tweaks </a>

<h3>Defragmenting and Disk Clean Up</h3>
<ol>

<h3>Patching the system</h3>
<ol>
<li>Download <a href="http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/UXTheme-MultiPatcher.shtml">uxtheme patcher</a></li>
<li>Start UXTheme Multi-Patcher 6.0.exe and click the patch button and then confirm your OS then press ok and your system will restart</li>
</ol>
<p>I get most of my themes from <a href="http://www.themexp.org/">Theme XP</a> but to install them they require you to install an annoying piece of adware below I will show you how to aquire there themes without installing it</p>
<ol>
<li>Download and install <a href="http://legroom.net/software/uniextract">Universal Extractor</a></li>
<li>Download whatever theme you want from <a href="http://www.themexp.org/">Theme XP</a></li>
<li>Simply right click on the file you downloaded from <a href="http://www.themexp.org/">Theme XP</a> and click uniExtract to subdir</li>
<li>There should now be a new folder which will be called the same name as the file you downloaded from <a href="http://www.themexp.org/">Theme XP</a> Open this folder and you should find a folder inside it containing a .theme file copy all files in that directory to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes</li>
<li>Once copied over double click on the .theme file and it should apply the theme</li>
</ol>

<li>Create a folder on your hard drive called C:\XP_SP3_SlipStream</li>
<li>Within this folder create 2 folders called Root and SP</li>
<li>Copy the contents of your original Windows XP Install CD to C:\XP_SP3_SlipStream\Root</li>
<li>Delete C:\XP_SP3_SlipStream\Root\Support\Tools\Deploy.cab</li>
<li>Copy the downloaded WindowsXP-KB838080-SP2-DeployTools-ENU.cab file to C:\XP_SP3_SlipStream\Root\Support\Tools and rename to Deploy.cab</li>
<li>Download Windows XP Service Pack 2 Support Tools from <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=49ae8576-9bb9-4126-9761-ba8011fabf38&amp;displaylang=en">here</a></li>
<li>Save the file to C:\XP_SP3_SlipStream and rename to Support.exe</li>
<li>Goto Start, Run and type:

<li>Wait for files to be integrated.</li>
