How to stream your radio

Ever want someone to know what your listening to on the radio. Its quite simple. it will cost about $60 depending on what kind of radio and cable you get.

What you need

radio

    • A radio ($10)
    • A stereo audio cable ($3)
    • NiceCast

How to do it.

  1. Connect the audio cable to the radio and then to your mac.

  2. Next download NiceCast. When you open it you will see something like this.

  3. Select Line In

  4. Then you are almost done. If your router doesn't support unPn or nat-pmp you will need to forward ports. for more information about this please see portforward.com You will want to forward port 8000.
  5. Now press Start Broadcast and goto http://yourip:8000/listen.m3u the file (should) open in itunes or there music player of choice.
